Monika Pawłowska-Bielas

Legal Department Director

Lawyer with more than 14 years of professional experience. She graduated from the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics, Wrocław University and Faculty of Law and Administration, Jagiellonian University, Kraków.

She set out on her professional career already as a law student, gaining experience in various areas of law. Moreover, she honed her practical skills during an advocate’s traineeship.

From the very beginning of career, she provides legal services to people who do not speak Polish. Initially, she worked mainly with Germans, French and Irish. She is fluent in English and holds a Cambridge language certificate to prove it. In addition, she has completed a course in English legal terminology. German and French are the other languages that she can speak. Currently, most of the clients are Korean, so she started learning Korean.

She combines her passion for languages and law by studying selected Medical Law aspects in other countries. This spawned the scholarly publication Hipokrates przed sądem, czyli tajemnica lekarska w prawie niemieckim [Hippocrates on Trial or doctor-patient privilege in German law].

At SPS Tax & Law, she concentrates on Corporate, Contract and Labor Law. In her daily work, she both runs projects on her own and supervises the work of her teammates. When performing her duties, she tries to put customer satisfaction first. Even if sometimes it is not possible to fully meet the client’s request, she tries to make him aware of why certain solutions cannot or should not be used. Her priority is to communicate with the client in an understandable way, in simple language, without the typical legal jargon, so as to explain the intricacies of the Polish legal system to him, and not to cause him confusion. In order to improve her workshop, she undertook postgraduate studies in the field of companies at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).

Privately, she is a happy mother and wife who still discovers new amounts of energy to pursue her passions and test her limits.
